Our sole aim of the business is to bring an uncomplicated solution to companies requiring a practical and honest safety partner, allowing our clients to concentrate on the day-to-day running of their business. It is a requirement of British law that employers must provide a safe and healthy environment for their employees as per The Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981. This law states that employers must provide appropriate equipment, facilities and personnel to ensure that their employees receive immediate and appropriate attention if they are injured or taken ill in the workplace. OJ Safety can provide appropriate, competent First Aid assessment courses to determine whether trained first-aiders are needed, what should be included in an onsite first-aid box, and if a first-aid room is required. This will be dependent on the workplace, the environment, the number of staff etc. All potential hazards will be identified as part of the course and will allow you to make an informed decision on the required action/s needed to become fully compliant.
The Health and Safety Executive have the powers to prosecute any business where there is a significant risk, a clear disregard for existing standards or persistent poor compliance with the law. This can be avoided by being consistently proactive with your Health and Safety training accreditations. OJ Health and Safety can provide a fully managed service which will monitor and advise on when you need to renew your certifications. We will also work closely with you at an agreed frequency to understand if there have been any changes in your work environment that may require recertification.
If the First Aid assessment highlights the need for qualified First Aiders, then this Level 3 qualification (Level 6 in Scotland) will provide you with suitable and adequately trained personnel.
