First Aid in the workplace is a legal requirement

British law requires that employers must provide a safe and healthy environment for their employees as a result of The Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981. Furthermore, this law requires employers to provide suitable equipment, facilities, and personnel to ensure that their employees receive immediate and appropriate assistance if they are injured or taken ill at work. Moreover, OJ Safety can provide appropriate, competent first-aid assessment courses to determine whether trained first-aiders are needed. Additionally, what should be included in an onsite first-aid box, and if a first-aid room is required. This will vary depending on the workplace, the environment, and the number of employees, among other factors. This training will identify all potential hazards and allow you to make an informed decision on the necessary action(s) to achieve complete compliance.

However, this can be avoided by being consistently proactive with your Health and Safety training accreditations. If the First Aid assessment highlights the need for qualified First Aiders, then this Level 3 qualification (Level 6 in Scotland) will provide you with suitable and adequately trained personnel.
