CSCS Cards
CSCS Cards are Construction Skills Certification Scheme Cards. They are an essential accreditation to work on a lot of construction sites across the UK. These cards demonstrate that individuals have the required training, qualifications and competence to work safely on construction sites. As part of promoting higher health and safety standards, many employers and contractors now require workers to hold a valid CSCS Card before granting site access.
At OJ Health and Safety, we are committed to helping businesses and workers understand the importance of CSCS Cards and how to obtain them to ensure a safer working environment. In order to obtain your CSCS card, you must complete an hour long test at a CITB recognised test centre. Our test centre is the only one in Wakefield and can be found at Unit 1, Wakefield Office Village, WF5 9TJ.
Where are we?
Our test centre is located just off junction 40 of the M1 at Unit 1 Wakefield Office Village, Silkwood Park, Fryers Way, Wakefield, Ossett, WF5 9TJ.
It can be seen clearly on the map to the right. There is free local parking right outside of the test centre with a local Greggs, Costa and other food places nearby. Our centre was designed with comfort and convenience in mind to provide the best experience possible. This is why we have ensured that there is complete disability access so anyone can take the test.
What is a CSCS Test?
The CSCS Test is a key requirement for anyone working in construction to demonstrate their understanding of health and safety on-site. The CSCS Card
Upon successful completion of the course, the CSCS card will be handed to you on the same day. It will be valid for 5 years from the date of the test. Before the card reaches it’s 5 year expiration date, it must be renewed and another test must be successfully completed.
