Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) was founded in May 2009 by CHAS, EXOR, Build UK, Constructionline, and SEC Group with the full support of the HSE. The main aim of the SSIP was to simplify the prequalification process and encourage straightforward mutual recognition between its members and their accreditations.
SSIP accreditation aims to enable clients to go to the SSIP and check that you have a current Health & Safety Policy, a health and safety competent person, and a robust health & safety management system in place.
