What is Asbestos?

If Asbestos is found…
A comprehensive risk evaluation of any asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) we find is part of OJ H&S’s asbestos management surveys. We assess these materials’ state as well as the possibility that, in the event that they are disturbed, fibres could be released into the atmosphere. The management of ACMs can be prioritised with the use of this assessment. Finding the location, kind, state, and number of any ACMs present is the survey’s main goal. In accordance with HSE guidance note HSG264, our surveys comprise:
Asbestos Management study: Previously known as a Type 2 study, this evaluation seeks to identify any ACMs in the building as much as is practically possible.
The former Type 3 asbestos survey has been replaced by the Pre-Refurbishment Asbestos Survey. A comprehensive demolition and renovation survey is necessary before any work starts.
Pre-Demolition Asbestos Survey: This evaluation, which also takes the place of the previous Type 3 survey, needs to be carried out prior to any demolition work beginning.
Asbestos Re-inspection Services: After identifying ACMs, the duty holder is responsible for conducting an inspection (at least once a year) and developing a management plan.
